morning sickness

It's funny how fast you can forget something so horrible!!! I am experiencing really bad morning sickness which should actually be named ALL DAY sickness. I am living off of pretzels and vernors! I forgot how bad th beginning of pregnancy was until this week. Besides the nausea, i am extremely tired and have been in bed every night by 7:30-8pm. I had to start clocking more clinical hours (96 hours) because this baby is due 3 weeks before i am done with clinicals. So i am working unpaid 7-5:30 everyday. I won't have any pictures this week because Collin and I are staying in Mt. Pleasant. I don't think i could drive the 2hrs home and back w/o getting sick in the car. I was able to see a heart beat this week and hopefully next week post some pictures. I am now 7 + wks. The next 2 weeks i will have a more definitive due date based on Ultrasound.

Weekend at the Lake

We had lots of friends and family visiting last week! My aunt and cousins were here from Colorado and our life long friends from North Carolina were visiting also. We spent some of the week off at the lake. Collin absolutely loves going fast in grandpa's boat, and even claims he can swim. He lays in the shallow water so that his body and feet float and puts his hands in the sand then he says "Look, I'm swimmin." Too cute. Also a pic of the progress of the back play area, which is now filled in with the pea gravel.

week of GM shutdown

While Ryan and I had a week off we spent lots of time working on the house! We dug up the back yard and made a play area for collin filled with pea-gravel! Great job Ryan!!!! We had new carpet installed,moved collin into the spare bedroom and got him a big boy bunk bed, took collin to the zoo, fireworks and to the lake! It was a busy week.

All the changes in our house during that week were not because we are just very motivated people, we found out we are expecting a lil one in March. It was actually an extremely well planned pregnancy revolving around me graduating in March. I didn't want to start a new job and take time off for maternity leave, so I will have the baby, take a couple months off before looking for a job. Also, Ryan and I wanted our children 3 yrs apart. Due date is March 7, ironically Collin's due date was April 7. We are very excited to add to our family.
